Goodness, it’s been a while.
To think that I started this blog back when I had just graduated college, almost six years ago. SIX! I was a baby back then, thinking I was off to conquer the world.
It’s crazy to think about what’s happened in six years, but it’s even crazier to think about what’s happened in ten. To summarize, I:
- Started college
- Graduated college
- Had several family pets pass away
- Started my first job (working as a parking attendant for a local ballpark)
- Spent several summers working as a camp counselor
- Scored my first teaching job
- Worked as a proper full-time teacher at 3 different campuses
- Helped raise my parent’s adorable Schnauzer puppy
- Met the love of my life
- Moved in with the love of my life
- Adopted possibly the cutest kitten ever
- Wrote an actual book!
All in all, it’s been one heck of a decade. I’m excited for the possibilities of the next – new adventures, new mistakes, new learning experiences. I’m not really one to set yearly resolutions or anything like that, but I will say this about the upcoming decade: my only hope is that I leave this decade with the same positive, energetic spirit I’ve got right now. If I can manage that, I think things will be alright.
